ACCREDITATION CYCLE & RE-ACCREDITATION

An organization’s Initial accreditation duration is normally granted for one year starting the second Monday of the month following each Accreditation Review Committee’s approval.

However, an organization applying for accreditation or re-accreditation may qualify for more than one year accreditation period, depending on the organization’s peerless and optimal performance in the delivery of continuing medical education (CME) program activities, (including enduring materials). (Click here to review information related to the American Association of Continuing Medical Education® Accreditation Duration Periods).

Accredited providers seeking re-accreditation must submit the re-accreditation application to the American Association of Continuing Medical Education® at least 90 days before the accreditation expiration date.
