Each agency is given 14 days to file its intention to appeal the findings of an accreditation survey. The documentation for such an appeal must be submitted within 34 days of the agency’s receipt of the accreditation report and judgment. Once an appeal is received, the Accreditation Review Committee (ARC) meets with the representatives of the organization to discuss the supporting argument for the appeal.
The Committee then meets in camera to prepare its revised report based on evidence presented. The decision of the Committee is final.
